My works are reality snapshots transgressed into a story telling abstract universe. The images are ranging from forceful wake-up calls to natural sensitivities and equilibrium, exposed and analyzed without hold-backs or concessions.

REVIEWS

"Zoltan Albert is attentive to the "voices" and "faces" of an ardent, turbulent, complicated, acute interiority - both through the angularity of the forms and through the painful intensity of the expression - it is based on distortions and metamorphoses of some figures both aggressively planted in space and tearing attacked by it, in an endless confrontation that could also be the one between subject and object, in the process of knowledge" (Theodor Redlow, Brașov, Bucharest 19 April 1987)

"Albert sees the layers of the material world, its fabrics, its wire-nets, its hidden forms. His engravings are a collection of barely seen realities, expressed with strong and precise details. The geometry appears as an anchor element for vanishing forms, and in the same time, the desire to quit the figurative without total abstraction" (Cultural Observer Magazine, June 2000)
